Sam bought a former public toilet from Orkney Island Council and has plans to demolish and build a house for his family.

The site is located up a pedestrian lane behind a large stone wall and surrounded by allotments.

The limited floor area of the site means the design will have a vertical emphasis rising above surrounding roofs on the sloping site to reveal views of Scapa flow.

The project is currently in the design stage.
